What to Expect

Holistic massage treatments are offered in the comfort of your own home across South East London and North Kent.

I will travel to you to enhance the relaxation of your treatment.  There is no need to worry about any traffic or parking and I bring everything I need with me to carry out the holistic massage treatment.

When you have your first treatment, it is essential that we complete a questionnaire regarding your health, medical history and general lifestyle.  This is to ensure that the treatment is tailored to you, ensures your expectations of the massage are met and that you receive the most benefit from the treatment.

All information is treated in the strictest confidence.

Once this initial consultation is complete, I will then leave the room to allow you to undress (it is customary to leave your underwear on, women may remove their bras) and get yourself comfortable on the massage couch. Towels are provided to cover your modesty and I will advise you on how to use these before leaving the room.  I will always knock before entering the room again to enusre you are ready.   Throughout the massage  I  only expose the area of the body  that I will be massaging, the rest is kept covered by the towels to ensure you are kept warm.

Throughout the massage I will always check that the pressure I'm using is fine with you and that you are comfortable.  If you need extra towels or want to reposition yourself then please ask as your comfort and relaxation is my priority.  Some clients like to drift off whilst massaging, others like to talk - therefore I will talk to you when asking for feedback on the treatment otherwise I'll only talk to you if you start the conversations.  This way, you can be satisifed that the massage treamtnet will be how you want it.

If you have any other requests such as candles, incense for example, please let me know in advance and I will do my best to provide these.

At the end of the massage, I will again leave the room in order to give you some time to get off the couch and dress yourself.   There is nothing worse than being rushed after a very relaxing massage.  Once you are ready, open the door and then I will ask how you are feeling and offer some home care advice.

Home care advice will be anything that may maximise the benefits of the treatment and improve your wellbeing.  It may cover some of the things that we discussed in our initial consultation, for example,  taking time to get some fresh air at work rather than working through lunch and breaks or some gentle stretching exercises to continue helping any tense muscles.  Its these little things that really help our wellbeing.

I will also provide aftercare advise, again to achieve maximum benefit from the massage treatment.  This advice should be followed for the next 24 hours if possible:

After the treatment some people experience various reactions for up to 24-48 hours.  If you  do experience any of the  reactions below then don't worry.  Your body has been stimulated and relaxed and is now adjusting to this by ridding itself of toxins and working on any problem areas that have been treated. Some of these reactions maybe unpleasant and become worse for a few hours before they begin to improve however they are part of the healing process and are beneficial for your body.  They may include:
